With their heart, mind, and soul
A romantic candlelight dinner on New Year’s Eve in a restaurant where one can admire the Prague Castle. The little box with a precious ring and a love letter handed by the waiter as a surprise. “I have chosen you with my heart, mind, and soul”. And then all at once the proposal: “Will you marry me?” That’s how Nicola asked his girl Manuela, and the most awaited day of the year arrived on September 20th.
The bride and groom chose to say “yes” in the splendid Sanctuary of Our Lady of the Stone in Verbania. They chose Villa Pestalozza in Miasino for their reception with friends and family. “There’s a splendid view of Lake Orta and the church where we got married from the arbor where we had the reception,” the bride tells us.
Preparations have required about nine months, the wedding theme was the honey moon, as for the tableau: “Every table had the name of each stop we were to make on our honeymoon,” Manuela explains. As a cadeau for the guests the bride and groom chose a jar of Cuore matto, wedding favors that support single moms in Mozambique.
The dominant color was white, together with touches of dove, as for the wedding gown’s waistband, created by Elisabetta Polignano. “I have the dress for you! – she told me, and she was right: I tried on three gowns but chose the first. It was stunning!”
White with a light tail, worn with a long veil, “which gave it a magic touch”. As for the hairstyle, Manuela chose an updo with a few locks that went down her face. For her bouquet “something that only belonged to me: orchids and white anemones.” The most emotional moment was the wedding cake, along with the notes of “A te” by Jovanotti.
