How to organize your wedding wishlist
Our hearts sometimes desire adventures, sometimes new objects. Let your mind wander and your heart speak on your behalf: there’s no better way to create a wedding wishlist than daydreaming!
A good time to start with your wedding wishlist is from five to three months before your wedding. When you have it ready, your family and best friends are the first to notify. Try to keep everyone up to date, so that you won’t get the same gifts twice. Sending your wedding wishlist notification together with your wedding RSVP cards may not be the best idea and it could be considered quite rude. Just keep your guests informed online on it: secret Facebook groups, a wedding blog or a website dedicated to your special day are all pretty good ideas to try!
If you and your spouse moved in already, opt for less traditional wishlists and try to ask for experiences rather than objects: travel wishlists or a honeymoon funded by your closest guests can be a hint. Otherwise, do it on a whim: precious foods and wines, works of art or hi-tech gadgets are all cool ideas, depending on your taste and on your current desires and needs. If you need some support to refurbish your house, maybe pieces of furniture or a complete consultancy from your trusted architect may be smart items for your wedding wishlist.
Just remember to let each of your close guests actually take part in it by organizing different price options and specific choices of items. If possible, try to agree a partition of the payments with your stores of reference. Let also everyone know how grateful you are with a special card: all of your wedding list participants will surely appreciate it!
