Love in true colors: Paola and Valerio’s wedding story
“The serenity and stillness we felt when we pronounced our ‘I do’ will stay forever in my heart, as well as the dedication we had to prepare that day… not to mention my wedding’s evening, watching all my happy guests from the balcony… I couldn’t ask for more, it was all so perfect!”. Paola thinks of the strongest emotions she felt on her wedding day with Valerio, last June 28th. Their wedding story begins in the church of Saint John’s, in Piedmont (Italy), “a village I’ve been attached to since when I was a little girl”, says Paola. The party was held at La Pedaggera in Cavallerleone, in a newly built dehor. The preparations required at least six months, thanks to the guidance of a wedding planner. The party themes were colors and joy. “I am a seamstress, so we decided to use colorful fabrics drapes for the decorations, all in white or in Tiffany shades and we put polka dot satin ribbons on the rings’ cushions and on my colorful bouquet. The ribbons were multicolor, while polka dots were black and white”. The tableau was very colorful as well and a matching color was chosen for each table. The couple also used a vintage typewriter in their decorations with a sheet saying “Steal all the colors in the world and paint the canvas of your life” as one of the main decorations. Paola’s gown was of course a Polignano: “I knew Elisabetta and her unmistakable style: I worked for two years in a bridal atelir in Cuneo called Alca Spose. I already had my fair chance to fall in love with her dresses and I had chosen mine in that timeframe, even though Valerio and I were not planning to get married yet”. The dress was slip and white, the skirt was shorter on the front, “so that I could show my precious sandals”, says Paola.
