Our tips for a perfect wedding catering
Villas, castles, mansions, parks and beaches: the choice of the location for your special day is so wide, you may barely know where to start from. This choice is also crucial for the organization of the catering. Have you already thought of what kind of atmosphere and main flavors you may like? Let’s find some ideas to organize the perfect wedding catering!
The first, very useful thing to do is to define with your chosen agency what kind of services you may actually need. On average, a good wedding catering includes the preparations of the reception and provides lighting, furniture, table cloths, dishes, cutlery, and helping staff. If the location does not have any, they may also provide restrooms. Remember to be very accurate with the number of your guests, because food, beverages and supplies are counted per person. A good wedding catering would also provide enough kitchen supplies to have every dish served at the right temperature, especially if some have to be served hot. Mind the hygiene standards that the agency provides and make sure they are qualified and certified. As far as the helping staff is concerned, at least two assistants are needed approximately every two tables. If you’re planning to have a buffet and you don’t want people to stand in line, you may consider to hire some waiters or waitresses to have your food and beverages served at your guests’ tables.
Request an all inclusive business estimate. If you are organizing an outdoor wedding reception, have a plan B ready with an alternative indoor location in case of bad weather. Choose a catering agency with all the proper insurances covered and all the right administrative licenses. Don’t forget to ask whether your wedding cake is included in the price!
