Unmissable styling tips for your groom

We love to provide you the best wedding tips, accompanying you in every step of your preparations of your special day. We know that taking care of you in this phase of your life would also mean to take care to your soon-to-be life partner. So we’re here to give a little attention to your groom today, in order to give him the best styling tips.

Let’s start with the shirt: the collar is one of the most crucial aspects because it’s the element that frames his face. If he’s going to wear a suite with two or three pieces he could opt for a French collar, with wide and open tips, quite comfy if he’s going to wear a big knot on his tie. The Italian collar is a more informal style instead, and it’s usually chosen by young grooms. If the tips are folded externally you will have a so called diplomatic collar. The collar should be chosen according with the face shape, to the length of the neck and to the general body shape: an Italian collar would make him look taller, a French collar would have the opposite effect.

Wristbands are not any less important: French or double, they have to be about 0,7 inches longer than the jacket’s sleeves. They should be closed with golden jewels, pearls or gems: they give an elegant touch and they’re even a smart gift idea if he doesn’t have any yet. We suggest to opt for an elegant watch on the wrists, with fixed bakings or other openings. Another important style detail is the boutonnière: a tiny flower coming out of the main pocket of his suite. This is one of the most elegant choices he has to make, and it should be worn on the left, with no handkerchiefs in the pocket. It could be coordinated with your bouquet and with your wedding theme, as well as with the suite. If you don’t know what flower you should choose, opt for a carnation: it is a symbol of fidelity, as the bon ton says! Gardenias, roses, camellias, lilies of the valley and buttercups are very stylish choices too. If you’re getting married in autumn, don’t forget to decorate it with berries and leaves. Remember to stay balanced with your whole styling and to remove your boutonnière after the ceremony, so that you can let it dry and keep it as one of your best memories.
