A chocolate flavored winter wedding: Silvia and Massimo’s wedding story
It was a romantic winter wedding, as warm as a fireplace, and as cozy and lovely as chocolate: so begins Silvia and Massimo’s wedding story. The couple celebrated their love dream last December 8th. “This date is so important for both of us, not simply for its catholic meaning”, explains Silvia: “we wanted a wedding that really had a winter flavor, we wanted it to be simple and cozy”. The couple celebrated with about eighty guests (not a stunningly big number for Italian standards), and only included the closest relatives and friends, “the ones that saw us growing up”, says Silvia.
The chosen colors for the ceremony and for the reception were white and chocolate, which contributed to create a very warm atmosphere, especially in Fortino Napoleonico di Portonovo, were the reception was held. “The ribbon on the wedding cake, the decorations in church and even my bouquet, they all had chocolate brown as their main color”, says Silvia. As for the wedding dress, the bride chose a gown by Elisabetta Polignano: “It was refined and elegant, everybody told me I looked like a princess. It looked like it was made just for me”. Then she adds: “I didn’t want a typical wedding gown, so I chose a ‘calla lily’ model, in mikado silk, which I paired with a white duvet with a neck in mink. Silvia curated every detail of her style: “I didn’t wear a veil, but Elisabetta designed a hat for me, which was lovely”.
The most exciting moment of their wedding? “It was when I saw Massimo, my husband, who was getting ready to go out. Our glances crossed and it was a very intense moment, it happened right before we went out and greeted our first guests”.
