The most joyful I do
The story we are telling you today is romantic and fun as in a fairy tale. This is how we could summarize Irene and Gabriele’s wedding, who have celebrated their first anniversary on July 6th. The theme of their wedding was Disney and its characters, all truly loved by the couple. The setting of their joyful I do was the church of Santa Maria Assunta in Montebello Vicentino. For the following celebrations, the couple chose the warmth and the intimate atmosphere of a private location, a marvelous cottage in the countryside: “We thought of everything, we even provided a little inflatable pool decorated with the Disney Princesses”, says Irene with a smile.
The preparations lasted 9 months and the groom’s help was crucial: he handcrafted a plastic model of an enchanted fairytale castle, which became our tableau. The placecards, the bonbonnieres, the multi tiered cake “were all inspired to the world of cartoons” – says Irene. “The invitations contained a story in rhyme about our love: from the moment we had met, til the pending wedding day”.
For the decorations, the bride chose white and orange tones. Orange was also the flower she had up on her hair, “but I wanted a surprise bouquet”, said Irene.
The dress was “love at first sight: I tried everything and beyond, but then, when I saw it, I was totally confident of my choice”. A bridal gown signed by Elisabetta Polignano: “It had a smooth corsage, a cuff, a tiny belt, a big ribbon on the back that fitted softly”, describes Irene: “simple and fabulous”. Just like a fairy tale. And just like the story of their wedding.
