From our wedding web series to her “I do”: Rachele’s dream has come true!

You saw her for the first time in front of the cameras, shy and cute, during our 2.0 casting for “My Wedding Dress”. You found her again some days later in Elisabetta Polignano’s atelier in Oleggio, when she was in search of the dress of her dreams for her special day. And you started to know her better, following her dreamy yet so real path of rehearsals and emotions, feeling the way she felt as the protagonist of our wedding web series. The day has finally come! Rachele’s dream has come true and she can finally tell you about her day: last September 13th she said her “I do” to Fabrizio, the father of her lovely child Matteo. Their ceremony took place with a civil ritual in the heart of Villa Ronchi, in the Park of Ticino, where the couple and all their guests celebrated until late evening. The couple’s best men were the respective siblings and their best friends: Mattia for Fabrizio, and Eleonora for Rachele (the one you already met in our series, and who accompanied her in every episode, together with Rachele’s mom).
“From the wedding proposal til our day a whole year passed”, says Rachele: “Neither Fabrizio, nor I, did a clear cut kickstarting: I’d never thought of our wedding day before and we literally had no idea what it meant to organize everything. So we simply followed the course of the events and sought assistance from different professionals, with no anxieties and without being too demanding. Creating stunning memories is what was most important for us”.
Their keywords were serenity and simplicity. Among their best memories, “the long hours it took my mom, my grandma and I to finish the escort cards: we got so tired after them, but it felt extremely magic at the same time”.
“Another fun memory”, adds Rachele, “was when Fabrizio and I remained finally alone in our hotel room after all the celebrations. We stared into each other’s eyes, we got closer and… stated that we were so hungry that we definitely needed to eat something! We spent so much time celebrating with our beloved ones during the day that we barely touched any food, so Fabrizio went downstairs and ordered a couple of piadina’s and a focaccia!”

Rachele remembers the moment when she found her wedding dress really tenderly: “I will keep that marvelous memory forever with me. It was hard to choose it, not because I couldn’t find any, but because there were too many awesome ones to choose from! But I decided to follow Elisabetta’s advices: she’s always behaved as a true friend with me, since the very beginning. When I tried my dress for the second time, seeing myself in front of the mirror literally blew me away. I felt beautiful and confident, comfortable… and most of all: it felt mine. It truly represented what I wanted to express. Sensing the same feeling in my mother and in my best friend’s eyes was just a confirmation of what I felt”.
