A wedding on the bus: Tatiana and Daniele’s wedding story

Overwhelming creativity, neverending excitement and bursting joy is what made Tatiana and Daniele’s wedding so adorable and cool last August 2nd. They celebrated in their beloved town of Vercelli, in the same church where the magic “I do” was first pronounced by the bride’s parents, and by the bride’s grandparents beforehand. “The Cappuccini neighborhood is where I grew up, it’s like a tiny little village for me”, explains Tatiana. Right after the religious ceremony, the newly married couple and all of their guests hopped on a private cute bus and drove til Castelletto Sopra Ticino, another lovely little village where the location for their afterparty was awaiting them: Jardin A Vivre. “Actually the party already started onboard, it was too fun to be real! We all started to celebrate our wedding on the bus” says Tatiana: “I didn’t want my guests to drive miles on separate cars, so we thought of renting a bus that could host everyone. The idea was so successful among my guests that we ended up renting a pretty large one, with sixty seats!”. Each guest was welcomed onboard with iced tea and potato chips.

The couple curated all of the preparations: “We just wanted to be ourselves and do what we like”, says Tatiana: “We first had thought of circus as our wedding theme, but we couldn’t manage to make it the way we wanted, so we invited a group of jugglers. I had this idea of the jugglers alone, Daniele didn’t know about it and it’s been a big surprise for him because he used to be one when he was younger”. The afterparty was so creative we couldn’t barely believe it, when Tatiana told us. Swing music, gadgets available for all the guests (which included Star Wars themed masks!), colorful temporary tattoos and personalized tiny beer bottles from a microbrewery in Genoa were given as wedding favors. The decorations were in pastel pink, green, and grey. The tableau was carved in wood and decorated with white lace: “Daniele assembled and painted the boards, I drove the nails, adjusted the lace and wrote the guests’ names”. For her bouquet, Tatiana chose two different species of roses, eucalyptus leaves, white decorative flowers and proteas. Her styling was definitely unique: short hair, light pink shoes and big pink glasses, “My trademark!”, she adds. Her white wedding gown was created for her by Elisabetta Polignano, with a mix from different models from her collections. “The first time I visited the atelier I brought my mom, the second time I went alone: I needed to find out what I truly wanted, and finding it out felt awesome! Elisabetta immediately found the genre I was looking for and I immediately felt at ease. She also gave me lots of precious advices on how I should’ve walked with it, but I couldn’t really follow them: as soon as I saw Daniele down the aisle waiting for me, I broke all the rules and ran!
