I love you in every language

I love you in every language

Here’s the scenario: an “I do” pronounced under a romantic gazebo, among tiny white lanterns all around. In a sunny afternoon, surrounded by the smiles of their best friends, in the yard of the gorgeous Casina di Poggio della Rota, in Bassano Romano. Erika and Marco’s tale begins here, on September 27th: a dreamy new begin after ten years of engagement. “Everything was just beautiful” – says the bride, overwhelmed with joy – “I’m so happy. We wanted to create an intimate atmosphere only with our most beloved ones”.

The civil ceremony was very emotional and heartfelt by everyone. The party was engaging and fun, it lasted until the late night and ended with an exciting fireworks show – as you can see in the wedding video that Elisabetta Polignano shared on her Facebook page. The wedding theme was I love you “in every language”: travel has always been the couple’s biggest passion.

The elegant tonalities of white, antique pink and grey were chosen as predominant for the decorations. For the bouquet, the bride chose white and pink baby roses. The tableau de mariage was very original: “We set it by hanging wooden hearts to a secular olive – she explains – “where we wrote the names of different cities around the world, each of them matched with ‘I love you’ written in the city’s corresponding language. During the preparations I also had the chance to discover a side of Marco I hadn’t known yet: we cooperated so much, he took care of every detail, it was a huge surprise”.

The other surprise for Erika was Elisabetta Polignano: “I didn’t know her, I had the chance to discover her thanks to Livia, the curator of “The Brides’ Flowery Garden” wedding shop: she’s been really amazing with me, she guided me in such an incredible manner. When I was in the dressing room and I tried what then became my wedding dress, I started to laugh because I liked myself too much!”. The dress was completely white, with lace decorations on the corsage and a fabulous, long trailing. “I had my hair up with a simple yet sophisticated hairstyle and pearl earrings: when she saw me, my sister began to laugh too. My mother started to cry with joy: then I started to understand everything was in its right place”.
