Honeymoon: essential tips on packing up before departure

Think about it this way: your honeymoon is going to be your unique romantic escape. You will need to wholeheartedly enjoy it. So get ready: there’s just a little bit to keep under control during your preparations, in order to fully dedicate yourself to your adventure afterwards. Let’s see what you may need!

Once you’ve established where to go, try to anticipate the temperatures of your destination as best as you can: weather forecasts change continuously, we know, but try to focus on a specific range of clothes that may let you feel comfortable during your stay. If you’re going to go on a kind of adventure you’ve never experienced before (like a tough hike or a safari), try to choose special and technical fabrics and natural colors in the shades of soil, earth and mimetic green (one practical reason: you can get covered in dust, sand or stains and nobody will notice).

If you’re choosing an exotic destination, don’t just bring tank tops and shorts with you: we know you’re a cautious one and you will be equipped with sunscreen and bugs spray, but sunburns and bugs’ bites happen especially where you never expect them, so be wise with your outfits and cover your arms and legs as much as you can. By the way, here’s a little trick: have you ever thought of wrapping a mosquito net around your hiking hat? You’re welcome.

Another thing you might not always think of when you pack up is the proper kind of outfit in case you’re visiting any holy or sacred places: an emergency scarf, leggings and a hoodie may be fine, so remember to carry them with you.

Talking about hard walking days: don’t underestimate the importance of a neat, comfortable and comfortable pair of shoes (did we say comfortable?) and try to avoid socks with anti-transpirant fabrics (you don’t want to keep your feet wet, do you?).

If you’re going to hike into the wild or if you’re visiting non-Western countries, tight jeans are not an option: too uncomfortable, probably even “too Western” in some contexts: mind your destination’s culture.

One last tip: departure with half empty suitcases is a must, if your destination is urban! You definitely want to save some extra space for the apparel you will find in the markets or in the stores around you, don’t you?

Safe travels!
