Three tips for your fall wedding planning

If you’re living your love dream after late September, there’s plenty of sweet little details you must curate for your fall wedding planning. Lights change, tastes are spicier, your bridal make-up has darker shades and your guests can enjoy different types of favors and atmospheres. Let’s see in detail what you can do to get the best out of the season!

fall wedding planning

1. Mind the scents… and the spices!

Fall is all about the squash and pumpkin craze, but there are so many scents and spices you can explore for your wedding cakes and drinks. Apples and cinnamon are just two examples among many: for example, you can prepare some apple cider sangria to your guests, or some cinnamon apple cider punch, if you prefer spicier tastes. Apples and cinnamon sticks could be used to decorate your wedding cake (especially nude ones), or to decorate some candles for a warmer atmosphere: you can cover your scented candles with cinnamon sticks or carve the inside of some full, red apple and place some white candles inside.

2. Choose seasonal blooms

Get inspired by the season and choose blossoms that truly smell like fall for your bouquet and for your decorations. Witch hazel, monkshood, sedum and fall crocus are just few of the many pretty blossoms that you can find fresh during this chilly season. Don’t forget to be creative and to decorate around also in accordance with your wedding theme. If fall is grape harvest and wine making time for many, be creative and find your own, unique way to combine these elements in your atmospheres. Blue hydrangeas and branches on wine barrels? Why not!

3. Make everyone feel cozy

Summer is gone and all your guests want is feeling comfortable, despite the shorter days and the fresher temperatures. Cuddle them as best as you can by providing some sweet solutions to make them feel cozy and at ease. For example, you can organize a few fluffy blankets (one for each guest) inside some empty wine barrels, to let them snuggle up when the air gets colder. Win your guests’ hearts with some killer appetizers inspired by the season (pumpkin is an evergreen!) and some great drinks (apple pie shooters? Yes, please). Don’t forget to think of fall sweet treats for them, like cinnamon custard cupcakes, caramel apples or spicy s’mores.
