The perfect bridal hairstyle? It begins with haircare

Getting ready for your “I do” day is an incredible journey and every step has its discoveries and opportunities. Like dedicating more time to yourself.

We recently told you about how important it is to treat yourself with some special beauty treatments. Today, thanks to our make-up artist Mario Condello’s precious tips, you’ll have a few more ideas about how to take great care of your hair which will get you to think about your bridal hairstyle.

Once you have chosen your wedding gown, get in to the beauty zone: besides your make-up rehearsals, start thinking about the hairstyle you want. “Hair need special attention, at least two or three months of care and treatments”, explains Mario. “There are several, efficacious treatments on the market today, for example those with Botox of with hyaluronic acid, which help the hair look 30 to 40% bigger”.

Massages are great solutions too, as well as ozone therapy, which dries the scalp and keeps it cleaner. “A relaxed scalp” highlights Mario, “allows the hair up a lot easier; also, the hair is going to be more docile and ready for modeling. Obviously”, he adds, “the bride doesn’t necessarily have to have long hair or hair extensions: short hair is perfect with accessories like cloches and nets. Hair color fun is okay, as long as you keep everything balanced!”

Hair dyes should be chosen of the right tones. How do you recognize the right one for you? “It’s not that difficult” says Mario, “it often is the one that your skin color suggests: tone on tone is the most balanced option”. The same principle is valid for dress and make-up choices too: this is why it’s so important to rely on a beauty professional who can follow you and give you the right suggestions during your preparations.

“I never leave my brides alone!” says Mario, ironically: “I’m with them til the end, until I see them wearing their veil. That’s when I realize I managed to guide them until their most important moment”.
