Feels like the movies: Alice and Diego’s story
“There was a moment (we both remember it quite well) when we finally sat down at our table to eat something. We were surrounded by our friends and families. The summer sunset had that golden light that melts your heart on ordinary days already: imagine that on the day of your wedding. While crying, we said to each other: let us remember this moment forever, let’s hold it tight. Never let it go”.
This is how Alice and Diego’s story begins, with the strongest emotion. Their “I do” arrived one year ago on June 21st in the area of Varese. The civil ceremony was whole heartedly felt by everyone: the couple welcomed their guests among the flowers of a little gazebo, in the garden of Villa Giuliana. “We started the happy hour in the shades of a giant tree, while some of our friends enjoyed the swimming pool”, says Alice. The catering was all about bio and fair trade foods. Diego and Alice personally curated the whole preparations, as well as the web design of their wedding website “Alice & Diego”, which narrates all of their emotions.
Red was the main color they chose for their celebrations (as well as the bride’s wedding dress). Their theme was their passion for cinema. “Our love story began with a passion for the same films and for different characters of our favorite TV series”, explains Alice. Among their decorations, there were film posters inspired by the most popular couples of cinema, and every guest received a self-packaged DVD with a movie that represents them. Red roses and pink gerberas, candlelight and lanterns completed the atmosphere. “After such a scenographic wedding, we of course chose a honeymoon in the US!”, says Alice, with a big smile.
Alice chose a wedding dress by Elisabetta Polignano: “her atelier was the last I’ve visited, and I was even a bit depressed, because I hadn’t found anything I liked in the ones I checked previously. Elisabetta made me try some gowns, and one of them was white with a big, satin bustier in tulle and a wide skirt with an irregular shape. She simply proposed to make it red for me and I immediately understood it was the right one. It made me feel young again, it’s the best wedding dress in the world!”
