A beautiful wedding on a lake
“I thought I would have cried the whole time, but I couldn’t stop laughing, instead”: this is how Adriana’s story start. Her story is about her enchanting wedding on a lake. She said her “I do” last September 6th to her groom Jacopo. The scenario offered by Lake Garda was extremely romantic: the ceremony was held in the church of Santa Maria della Neve in Sirmione, while the celebration was in Desenzano, a the Esplanade restaurant.
“We got on a boat to move from one place to another, as well as all of our guests” – tells us Adriana. “I was really emotional and we had great fun all together: we played with the water, made lots of jokes, we chased each other and attempts of ramming”. For their special day, the couple chose to have all of their beloved ones: they invited 140 guests, “who came from all over the world”.
The recurring element which constituted the leitmotiv of the celebration was a silkscreened logo with the couple’s initials. Ivory and dust were the main colors. Adriana dedicated herself to the curation of every single aspect of the preparations, from the participations to the holy booklets, from the choice of confetti to the bonbonnieres. These last ones were little bottles of biological extra virgin olive oil produced by Jacopo’s uncle, with a personalized packaging for each guest. “We wanted to pay attention to every detail” – she tells us – “the way our families used to do”.
The bouquet had white baby roses and bouvardia. The bride’s hair was up. The dress was of course by Elisabetta Polignano: “I liked many of her dresses, and tried many as well. The last one I tried felt so mine, though”. The dress she chose is in white lace, embellished with a ribbon on the little belt placed on the waist and a corset that could be disembodied from the skirt: “Elisabetta understood immediately my two souls: the contemporary and the really romantic one. I trusted her and understood that we are really alike: we both care a lot about quality and we both pay lots of attention to details”. Among the most poignant moments, Adriana has no doubts: “The moment I felt the most emotional was when I walked down the aisle. I saw my husband waiting for me and my younger siblings were all outside, waiting for me. I was so excited I didn’t even enter the church immediately, I kinda stopped outside talking with them!”. They eventually accompanied her inside. And her beautiful dream came true.
